CHAGE & ASKA
I still remember the first time I heard one of their songs. I was in high school back in Hong Kong. It was around April 1993, when the school got ready for Open Day. While I was hanging with others at the Music Room during a break, a senior pulled out a CD from his bag and played it with the CD player.
That first song is Say Yes... and the CD is 倆心知 原創紀念歌集. (Not for sale in Japan)
I am hooked to their music ever since...
Some *fun* info on CHAGE & ASKA:
- They are now in their late 40s
- Their debut date is about six month later than my birthday
- I believe they are the only artist duo who can have they own solo careers while still being together. (If you can name another, TELL ME!!!!!!)
- Their first original Englsih song aimed for American market, composed and written themselves, is for the ending song of "Street Fighter" the movie (while the song is good, the movie flops)
