銀河お嬢様伝説ユナ (Galaxy Fraulein Yuna)

After winning a "Galactic Bishojo Contest", Kagurazaka Yuna becomes "Savior of the Lightside", a magical girl charged with defending the universe from evil, with a powerful armored suit. However, her greatest strength lies in her ability to befriend anyone, even her enemies. Her group of comrades (which is extensive) is comprised almost exclusively of former opponents... Together they will protect the galaxy from any evil.

Galaxy Fraulein Yuna originated in 1992 when Hudson Soft asked Akitaka Mika, an established artist and mechanical designer, to create a video game for the PC Engine Super-CD console. A total of 5 games were made between 1992 to 1998, 2 for PC Engine Super-CD console, 1 for PC FX, 2 for Sega Saturn and 1 ported to Sony Playstation.

Many have noticed that Galaxy Fraulein Yuna shares a lot of similarities in Akitaka Mika's own MS Girls artworks, which were featured in HOBBY JAPAN. Derived from Mobile Suit Gundam, MS Girls was a collection of drawings of pretty girls dressed in "Gundam armor". Some speculates that his work on Yuna was an evolution of his MS girls artworks.

銀河お嬢様伝説ユナ ~哀しみのセイレーン~ (Galaxy Fraulein Yuna ~Sorrowful Saline~)
2 episodes OVA series (1995)

Filled with a silly plot, silly girls and lots of cheap comedy. In summary, it is simply a fan service.

Dino's Rating: 2
Will Girls Like It: No Way

銀河お嬢様伝説ユナ ~深闇のフェアリィ~ (Galaxy Fraulein Yuna ~Fairy of Darkness~)
3 episodes OVA series (1996 - 1997)

This time it has a much darker storyline, but still, it is simply a fan service.

Note: I made up the English title myself, since I cannot find any good one online for the real title anyway.
