夏色の砂時計 (Hourglass of Summer)

Summer vacation is just around the corner, and Makimura Koutarou has made up his mind: he is going to confess his love to Serizawa Kaho, a well-known beauty in his school. On that night before though, he has a run-in with a strange girl stalking him. As a result, he is sent to the future of September 1st. At school, he learns that not only Kaho-chan became his girlfriend, but she also died yesterday in a tragic accident. After returning to the normal time, with the help of the strange girl, Koutarou sets out to change the future and save his precious Kaho...

Hourglass of Summer was based on the PS2 game created by Princess Soft in 2002, the same company behind Final Approach. A PC hentai version was ported in 2003. The 2-epsidoes OVA version was released in 2004.

An interesting love story with a light sci-fi twist, the only problem is that the whole story got cramped into 60 minutes, making it rather hard to digest for anyone who have not played the game before, or not prepared for such treatment. Still, character designs are great, with a top-notch CV cast from the PS2 game, and Kaho is a relly cute girl, even though it is only for 60 minutes...
