神秘の世界エルハザード (El Hazard)
When Mizuhara Makoto discovers an old monument in the underground chamber of his school and awakens a beautiful woman, he, his teacher Fujisawa Masamichi, his "worst enemy" Jinnai Katsuhiko and his friend Jinnai Nanami is transported to an alternative world known as El Hazard. There they discover that they process some special powers. Katsuhiko ends up becoming the leader of the "Bug", and determine to rule El Hazard and get rid of Makoto. Will they ever find a way (or will) to return to Earth...?
El Hazard was first released as a 7 episodes OVA in 1995 by Pioneer, a 4 episodes OVA sequel was released in 1997, and a final sequel, 13 episodes OVA, was released in 1998. Meanwhile, an alternate version for the first OVA series was released as a TV series in 1995.

An interesting series with interesting characters, and plenty of lesiban jokes (literally). A pretty good love story between Makoto and Ifurita, you will know what I mean when you watch the last episode. Essentially that should be the end of the series, period.

4 episodes OVA sequel
The first sequel focusing on adventures of Makoto and his companions before he returns to Earth (not going to spoil your fun to kowning the ending). It is short enough that I can give it a pass.

13 OVA series
What makes a bad sequel really bad is when you actually find the story so boring that you want to kill yourself when watching it. While it is not that close, I would rather use it for torture purposes. The only saving grace is the last episode, which is kind of a "recycle" episode from the first OVA, and involves enough bath scene that can make every fan boy giggles.

25 episodes TV series
An pretty good retelling of the OVA story, only this time Makoto is involve with the princess (not Ifurita), while the princess and Ifurita got a complete redesign, as seen in the picture. Otherwise everything else is pretty similar to the OVA, except the ending... (not going to tell you.)
