Daijuuji Kuro, detective for hire. Life in Arkham City is not easy for Kuro, and he will be lucky if he has enough money left for his next meal. Good for him that the Hado Financial Group has hired him to search for a magic book, in return for enough money to keep his stomach full... while searching for the book, Kuro runs into Al, a girl that the Black Lodge is chasing. Kuro ends up making a contract with Al, who is the magic book he is searching for. With new magical powers, and the deus Machina Demonbane on loan by Hado, Kuro and Al will fight together to protect the city and bring down the Black Lodge...
Demonbane is based on the PC hentai game 斬魔大聖デモンベイン by Nitroplus in 2003. The PS2 adaptation, 機神咆吼デモンベイン, was released by Kadokawa in 2005. A sequel, 機神飛翔デモンベイン was released for PC in 2006 by Nitroplus. The 12-episode TV anime adaptation was released in 2006.

Interesting show, with enough ecchi scenes to keep the fanboys happy. The ending may keep your head spinning though. With interesting mecha and awesome moves, it is a good adaptation.

Demonbane OVA
Young journalist Lily Bridge arrives at Arkham City, looking for big news to land herself a job. The only thing worth fishing for in this city though, is Demonbane, a huge, mysterious machine. However, Lily may not be ready for the dangers of prodding in the dark places around Arkham City, alone...
The OVA was released along with the PS2 game in a DX edition. So it is now pretty much unavailable. That being said, the OVA is really a side story not completely related to the TV version story. You will not miss too much if you neve watch it.
