新世紀GPX サイバーフォーミュラ
SIN (Future GPX Cyber Formula SIN)
5 episodes OVA (1998-2000)
One year after the end of "SAGA", it is now 2021. Again it is the last race for Hayato to clinch his second back-to-back titles with his Asurada. This time, even with a relatively slower Asurada, no others can challenge Hayato and he wins with ease. Meanwhile, Bleed Kaga prepares for a comeback next season with AOI...
During the offseason, the partnership between Sugo and Gio Motors, a huge automotive company in Japan, further ensure Sugo's competitiveness in the next season. On the other hand, after years of lackluster results, a decrease in domestic automotive market share from Gio's competitions, and the hefty financial losses from the "Al-Zard" incident one year ago, has Aoi board of directors pondering the future of Aoi ZIP in Cyber Formula.
Only allowed to use the "antique" Exssperion Z/A-10, Kaga's season will becaome a very forgettable one. He may think there will be another "next season" with new machine, however the real intentions of AOI will change his view totally around. How come Kaga will get the info from Nagumo Kijiro, of all people? Why will Nagumo will offer to help Kaga? What is the real reason for Kaga to take a year off and come back, instead of joining another team? And what is the last "ace" Nagumo claimed to have that can help Kaga beat Hayato once and for all ...?
The last OVA to be produced (probably, anyway), It tries to tied up some loose ends from the last OVA and the overall story so far. This time we finally get to understand why Kaga is so obsessed with racing against Hayato, and you will be surprised by his real reason. Being protrayed as a "bad guy" in the last OVA, this time Nugamo is sort of in the "grey area". His offer to help Kaga is not without string attached, of course, and it has to do with Al-Zard, as well as Asurada and Hayato's late father...
Overall, a rate of 10. Cannot ask for more if it is really the end.
Dino's Rating: 10
Will Girls Like It: Maybe
Note: This OVA covers the events from 2021 to 2022.
Technical Info
Sugo Grand Prix ν-Asurada AKF-0/G

As first seen in the last OVA, it is essentially the same car. The partnership with GIO Motors allows GIO technicians to develop the hydrogen engine used for racing, plus the transmission systems plus all other related components for Asurada.
After the upgrades, Ausrada's performance is of course better than before. However, problems with the new components will keep poping up druing the season and nearly derail Hayato's championship run.
Sugo Grand Prix Garland SF-03/G

Upgraded with the new engine from GIO motors, it is the same, just a better-than-average race car. Here is a nice picture of Henri Claytor, former World Champion (earned the title at the end of "ZERO").
Aoi Exssperion Z/A-10

The car that become an afterthought when Nagumo took over the team in "SAGA". Now after two years Aoi is forced to use this "antique" to compete. With no buget for development in the horizon, can Kaga really stand around and waste this season away?
Stormzender Spiegel HP-022

After the end of 2021 season, Franz Heinel finally retired as driver, and became full-time director for Stormzender. Spiegel is his newest creation, with a feature that other teams tried not to venture (at least not yet): The driver seat is completely enclosed without the traditional transparant view. Instead, the driver must now rely on image screens projected by the cyber navigation system.
Spiegel also features a transformation system that will decrease its profile on straight course during high speed.
Shown here are the drivers, Jackie Gudelhian, and Marie M. Luisa. (She first appeared in the last OVA series. If you watch the opening of each episode she is featued in one of the group scene and a few cameo apperances throughout "SAGA". This time she has a more prominent role in this OVA.)
Union Saviour Issuxark XX-03/II

The newest version of Issuxark. There are not much changes to the car except the front of the car is redeisnged. Shown here is the version driven by Naoki Shinjyo. (He joined Union Saviour towards the end of "SAGA", if you are wondering.)
And now the "ace"...
Aoi Ogre "凰呀 " AN-21

Originally designed by Nagumo's late brother, Ogre is a "mirror image" of Asurada AKF-0/G, because both cars are designed under the same concepts. Just like Asurada AKF-0/G, Ogre has a transformation system, a 6-wheel configuration and four 2-stage boosters. As Nagumo plainly stated, its performance is the same, or even better than Asurada AKF-0/G.
Like Al-Zard, Ogre is equipped with a bio-computer as the cyber navigation system. However, Ogre is not easy to handle. In fact, it has its own mind on how to "drive" itself. Just like Nagumo called it, "a monster". In order to get the best out of this car, a driver must be at his best all the time. Now Kaga's ability to enter the "Realm of Zero" is the only way for him to handle this...
Who will win in the end, and who is better? Kaga or Kazami? Asurada or Ogre? The ending will leave you wondering...
