新世紀GPX サイバーフォーミュラ 11 (Future GPX Cyber Formula 11)
6 episodes OVA (1992-1993)

Sequel to the TV series, it is the start of a new season for Hayato and his team. A new season means new cars and new challenges for Hayato to face in his bid to become back to back world champion...

Now with only 6 episodes, there are some rather subtle changes to the show. No more rally race (which is ok with me, since some of the new cars will really have a hard time competing). There is now a "comedy duo" in the show (well the characters are already established in the TV series, but you just won't see it coming ha ha). This time Hayato needs to learn how to dirve faster with a special turning technique (not going to tell you ha ha!).

Overall, more drama and actions make this a great sequel. (Note the series is pronounced as "Future GPX Cyber Formula Double One")

Dino's Rating: 9
Will Girls Like It: Maybe

Note: This OVA covers the events in 2016.

Technical Info

Sugo Super Asurada SA-01/C

Basically the same car Hayato used in last season's championship run with improved power. However, other teams' newer cars means it is time to improve...

Sugo Super Asurada AKF-11

Designed by Clare Fortlan, who worked with Hayato's father on Super Asurada SA-01. This newest version of Asurada features a new six-wheel chasis design with a simpler transformation system. Its aerodyanmic body design allows more "down force" during turning, and more stable on high speed.

Aoi Exssperion Z/A-8

A brand new car designed with Super Asurada SA-01 in mind, it is Aoi's challenge to Sugo after last season's lost to Sugo. Featuring a different six-wheel chasis (2 front, 4 rear), a transformation system and a 4-booster configuration, its performace is about the same as Super Asurada AKF-11.

Sturozech Project Stil HG-161

Designed by former driver Franz Heinel, and driven by Jackie Gudelhian. The two former competitors join forces together, and the result is the Sturozech Project. It features a "rotable" cockpit design, which has the driver in a "riding" position. This enable the car to be more stable when turning. Also, unlike most other cars, Stil does not use boosters, instead Franz Heinel has developed something entirely different, known as "engine overload".
