クロノクルセイド (Chrono Crusade)

New York, U.S.A, 1928 AD. Economic growth after the Great War brings prosperity to the people. However, troubles lurk in the darkness: the rise of demon-worshipping among those tempted by the Seven Sins. Of course, dealing with demons require special treatment, and the Magdalene Order is the only organization run by the Church that can deal with demon-troubles.

Enter Rosette Christopher, and her assistant, Chrono. Employed by the Magdalene Order to deal with demon-incidents, they also manage to create more chaos along the way. However, looks can be deceiving: Chrono is a demon himself, and Rosette has a contract with him that will ensure a short life for her, all for the sake of finding her brother, Joshua, taken by Chrono's old comrade Aion four years ago...

Chrono Crusade is produced by Gonzo in 2003 as a TV sereis with a total of 24 episodes. It is based on the manga by 森山大輔 (Moriyama Daisuke).

The title used in Japan is Chrno Crusade, due to potential copyright issues.

This is one of the better series I have watch for a long time. Solid story, good drama, great actions, lots of comedy to balance the expected ending. Animation quality is so good, it is hard to believe it is made for TV.

It is interesting to see real world history getting mixed into the story...
