超音戦士ボーグマン (Sonic Soldier Borgman)
In 1999, Tokyo was attacked by monsters from another dimension. The only thing that stand between the monsters and the Earth is the last 3 cybernetic-enhanced humans: Ryo, Chuck and Anice. Can they put a stop to the menace?
Sonice Soldier Borgman was released back in 1988. A movie sequel was released in 1989. Featuring character designs of 菊池通隆 (Kikuchi Michitaka), who is better known as 麻宮騎亜 (Asamiya Kia) for his manga work.
ADV has licensed the movie only in North America. The TV series is still unlicensed.

Sonic Soldier Borgman (1998)
35 episodes TV series
Featuring Japanese ghost-style monsters, this show made its mark in the late 1980s as a really good show, good enough to get a movie sequel. I first watched sparringly back in Hong Kong, and I kinda remember the show by the "ahem" armor-transformation of Anice. It is simply classic. Fast forward to 2003, I happened to picked up an illegal DVD copy of it from a local store. Finally watch the whole series for the first time, and even with the old quality animation, it is still a classic.
Note: This is not licensed in North America

超音戦士ボーグマン ラトバトル
(Sonic Soldier Borgman: Last Battle) (1989)
60 minutes movie
3 years had passed since the monsters were defeated. While Chuck becomes a police office with his girlfriend Miki, Ryo and Anice now lives in Forida. When Anice got an offer to come back and work in Tokyo, she jumped at the chance after getting bored from doing nothing. While Ryo is getting ready to chase after her, something sinister is going on at the hear of Tokyo, and it involves cyborgs...
A very interesting sequel to the TV series, and we finally get to see Ryo and Anice getting together for good. Interestingly, they kill off the "school" settings, and our favourite talking motorbike even gets no screen time, probably only with one cameo appearance early in the movie, but I am not sure.
A short episode, LOVERS RAIN was tagged along with the movie. Set some time after the end of the TV series (before the graduation scenes), Ryo is having nightmares from Memory's death. While Anice is deeply concerned for him, it will take some "fighting" to get him straight again. Also, we finally get to see their love blossom... which is all we fans wanted.

超音戦士ボーグマン2 新世紀 2058 (1993)
3 episodes OVA
I did watched a little bit back in Hong Kong, 1993. Unfortunately, I already forgot most of the details, and I have yet to find an illegal DVD copy, nor anyone is licensing it. So until then, I am not going to review this anytime soon...
